Your purchase includes 12 months of Smart Protection, starting when your SmartGaragePro is first activated. Register below to confirm your device and Smart Protection details.

Before you register, make sure your SmartGaragePro has already been set up in the SmartAccess app. Registration requires the device to exist in SmartAccess first.

Open SmartAccess, find your SmartGaragePro device, tap the ⋮ menu on the device card, and enter the MAC address shown there.

Smart Protection adds convenience and security features for 12 months, starting when your SmartGaragePro is first activated. (Devices registered using a declared purchase date run from that date.)

  • Sentry Mode / anti-theft alerts
  • Advanced smart alerts, where available

Your garage door's core operation and safety functions are not dependent on Smart Protection. Your SmartGaragePro continues to open, close, report door status, and protect against obstructions.

After your included 12 months

Your SmartGaragePro continues to provide its core opening, closing, door-status and safety functions.

Continued access to Smart Protection features such as Bluetooth proximity Auto Open, Auto Close and Sentry Mode will require Smart Protection to be renewed after the included period.

Optional Smart Protection renewal — A$99/year in Australia

  • You will be able to renew Smart Protection to continue or restore these features.
  • Renewal is annual and is never automatic — you choose if and when to renew, and nothing is charged without your explicit action.
  • If your Smart Protection has ended, you can renew later. A renewal will start a new 12-month Smart Protection period from the date you renew.

Outside Australia, local pricing will be shown when Smart Protection renewal becomes available in your region.

SmartGaragePro is not a subscription product. Smart Protection renewal is an optional service, not a warranty, and it is separate from — and does not affect — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty & Your Rights

This page explains the protections that come with your SmartGaragePro. Two things apply: your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, and the included 12-month Smart Protection service. They are independent of one another.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. These consumer guarantees apply automatically. You do not need to register your SmartGaragePro to be entitled to them, and they are not affected when the 12-month Smart Protection service ends.

Included 12-month Smart Protection service

Your SmartGaragePro includes a 12-month Smart Protection service, starting when your SmartGaragePro is first activated (for devices registered using a declared purchase date, from that purchase date). Smart Protection is a separate, additional service that adds convenience and security features such as Bluetooth proximity Auto Open, Auto Close, and Sentry Mode alerts. Registering confirms your device and records your Smart Protection details. It does not restart or extend the 12-month period. Registration is only a condition of the Smart Protection service — it is not a condition of your Australian Consumer Law rights. Your garage door's core operation and safety functions are always included and continue regardless of Smart Protection.

Smart Protection after the included period

After the included 12-month period, your SmartGaragePro continues to provide its core opening, closing, door-status and safety functions. Continued access to Smart Protection features such as Bluetooth proximity Auto Open, Auto Close and Sentry Mode will require Smart Protection to be renewed. In Australia, optional Smart Protection renewal will be available at A$99/year. Renewal is annual and is never automatic: you choose if and when to renew, and a renewal starts a new 12-month Smart Protection period from the date you renew. Smart Protection renewal is an optional service, not a warranty or an extension of any consumer guarantee, and it is separate from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

What is not covered

Smart Protection does not cover problems caused by improper installation, misuse, unauthorised modification, accidents, or normal wear and tear. These Smart Protection exclusions do not exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
