Information We Collect
Account information: your name, email address, and account/user identifier, together with authentication tokens used to keep you signed in. Sign-in is handled through secure authentication (including email, Google, or Apple sign-in); we do not store your account password. Device and smart-access information: identifiers for your SmartGaragePro and compatible devices, device names you choose, device registration and sharing details, connectivity/online status, garage or gate open/closed state, device configuration and settings, and firmware/version information. Operation and activity information: commands you send to compatible devices (such as open and close), access and control events, security/sentry alerts, and diagnostic or error information. Technical information: app and device technical details, network/connectivity information, push-notification tokens, logs, timestamps, and diagnostics. Support and contact information: your name, email address, phone number, support messages, and information you voluntarily provide. Website information: our website uses only cookies necessary for basic functionality; we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not collect payment information on this website.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to create and maintain your SmartAccess account; connect and register compatible SmartGaragePro and access devices; provide remote garage/gate control and show device status; process the commands you request; enable account and device sharing; provide authentication and security; respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues; maintain the reliability of our services; prevent abuse and unauthorized access; improve our products and services; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.
How Information Is Shared / Service Providers
We use trusted service providers and infrastructure to operate SmartAccess and related services, including Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting and secure device communication), Amazon Cognito (sign-in and authentication), Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), and Resend (delivery of contact-form messages). If you choose to enable voice control, your request is processed by the relevant assistant provider (Apple for Siri, or Google for the Google Assistant / Google Home integration). Purchases made through third-party platforms such as Shopify are subject to those platforms' own terms and privacy policies. These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for us. Spot On Technologies Pty Ltd does not sell users' personal information.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the SmartAccess service, maintain security and records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Data Security
Spot On Technologies Pty Ltd uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can delete your account and associated data from within the SmartAccess app, or by contacting us using the details below. SmartAccess is intended for use by adults for home and business access control. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
International Processing
Spot On Technologies Pty Ltd operates from Australia, and information is primarily processed on cloud infrastructure located in Australia. Because some of our service providers (for example, push-notification and voice-assistant providers) operate globally, certain information may be processed or stored in other countries. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information remains protected.
